I was all set to start referring to Mickey Rourke as "that Oscar winner" when Sean Penn ruined my plans.
He did the same thing to Bill Murray. Damn him.
I'm still looking forward to seeing "Milk" soon though.

"The Big Lebowski" and it's seemingly endless spring of expletives.
I remember seeing this in the theatre when it came out low these many years ago, and not being terribly impressed with it. I couldn't help but think that I had seen better Coen Brothers fare.
Fast forward 10 years later and now this film has a mega cult surrounding it. Just proves I can never call them. It also proves my 25 year old self knew nothing, because I now see how very brilliant it is. I rang in the New Year with a white russian (ok, more than one!) in the Dude's honor.....
I'm fairly certain John Goodman will never have a better role....ever.
